Joseph M. Camerata is a Principal and Chief Operating Officer at Wavecrest Management. In this role, he manages all business operations to provide maximum efficiency for clients, staff, and residents. Accountability and relationships are at the core of his work. His expertise lies in onboarding clients of all sizes and needs, and responsibly increasing revenue by reducing vacancies and arrears while controlling operating expenses. Previously, Joseph worked as an accountant with Marks Paneth and Shron.
Since joining Wavecrest in 2011, Joseph has led tremendous growth of the portfolio while maintaining the highest standards for clients and residents. His success balancing the family-owned and operated culture with the capabilities and excellence of a large corporation is the result of his personal and tailored approach to apartment management.
Joseph successfully onboarded nearly 1,400 units at Ocean Bay Residences into the RAD program in NYCHA’s first and the nation’s largest single site RAD conversion. The process now serves as a model for efficiency, compliance, and resident engagement for the RAD and PACT programs.
Joseph’s leadership focuses on relationships and accountability to all the people that Wavecrest serves, including the fiduciary responsibility to clients, positive employment experiences and opportunities to site and office staff, and providing safe, clean, affordable housing to residents.
