Frederick J. Camerata is a Principal and Chief Executive Officer of Wavecrest Management. He, along with his wife Susan, founded Wavecrest in 1978 managing one property of 1,600 units. In his 42 years of leadership, Wavecrest has grown to a team of 200 employees managing 23,000 units across the New York metropolitan area. Fred, with the help of his son Joey, oversees all aspects of the business, including operations and resources, company partnerships, and its extensive real estate portfolio.
Fred, along with Susan and Joey, has positioned Wavecrest to be a leader in the rehabilitation of physically and financially distressed properties in New York with a specialty in revitalizing and managing low- and middle-income buildings. With a background in accounting, Fred has a critical eye for detail and maximizing budgets, maintaining the financial health of client portfolios while providing safe, clean, and well-maintained housing to all residents.
Prior to starting Wavecrest, Fred was a partner at an accounting firm and supervised the real estate portfolio of Walter J. Schneider. Family remains unquestionably the most important aspect of his life, evident in his partnering with his wife, Susan, for over 42 years and bringing his son, Joey into the family business.
