Marlin Beras is the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) Violations Manager at Wavecrest Management. For Wavecrest’s many buildings across New York City, Marlin handles dismissal requests, ensures buildings are annually registered through HPD’s multiple dwelling registration system, and supervises in-house and on-site staff addressing open HPD violations. Since joining the team in 2013, Marlin has played an integral role in the growth and development of Wavecrest. She created Wavecrest’s HPD Violations Department and the organized system that efficiently and effectively tracks violations, providing clients and staff with necessary information in a timely manner.
Marlin began her over 10-year tenure with Wavecrest as a receptionist and was quickly promoted to Repairs Coordinator. She then became Section 8 Housing Quality Standards (HQS) Coordinator before entering her current position in 2020. Through her multiple roles and countless responsibilities at the company, Marlin has become an invaluable team member and successful manager, running his own self-created department.
